JP Parsons is a Singer/songwriter from Bristol, VA. Locals know him as Bristol's Troubadour. JP's albums 'Appalachian Travels' and 'Until This Day is Done' move listeners to turn up the volume and memorize the words. He is a Song Writer, and he crafts new songs all the time. He writes them on napkins, receipts, whatever is near... when the words arrive, sometimes from an unknown muse; quickly...sometimes they are labored over throughout a notebook; slowly. He does not write hooks and riddles, he links words together to tell stories. He writes with purpose. Listen with intent and enjoy.

3 Mile Smile (Knoxville, TN) was formed as an acoustic band by Becki Grace and Jeff Livingston in the spring of 2013. The band’s unique, soulful vocals with tasteful guitar highlights thoughtful lyrics. They released their debut CD in the Spring of 2015 and their sophomore CD "Live" in March 2018. Keep up with the band's shenanigans on their website at www.3MileSmileBand.com.
Blues rockers Tinsley Ellis and Tommy Castro & the Painkillers have teamed up for a tour they’ve dubbed T’n’T. Both are celebrated veterans who bring a combustible blend of Southern soul, blistering blues and roadhouse rock guaranteed to raise the roof.
Tinsley Ellis ranks as one of today’s most electrifying blues-rock guitarists and vocalists. He sings and plays with the conviction of, as Billboard wrote, “...a man possessed.” He approaches his music with rock power and blues feeling, in the same tradition as his Deep South musical heroes Duane Allman and Freddie King and his old friends Derek Trucks and Warren Haynes
Guitarist, vocalist and songwriter Tommy Castro – a six-time Blues Music Award-winner – has played to hundreds of thousands of ecstatic fans. With seemingly telepathic musicianship, Castro’s band, the Painkillers, brings an unmatched passion to his blue-eyed California soul and hard rocking, good-time songs. No Depression says, “Castro plays gritty, string bending blues like a runaway soul train...a glorious blend that rocks the soul and lifts the spirits.”

Believe in Bristol announced its participation in the tenth annual Small Business Saturday on November 30th to support small businesses in Historic Downtown Bristol. Founded by American Express® in 2010, Small Business Saturday® is a day to celebrate the small businesses that help support their neighborhoods and is held every year on the Saturday after Thanksgiving. Now in its eighth year, Small Business Saturday has been embraced as part of the holiday shopping tradition as each year shoppers, businesses and public officials come together to Shop Small® and show their neighborhood pride.
Understanding the important contributions small businesses make to their communities, Believe in Bristol is pleased to be part of Small Business Saturday and the Neighborhood Champion program. On November 30 from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., the greater Bristol area is encouraged to take part in the Small Business Saturday. Stop by to support small businesses and pick up some unique gifts for the holidays. Shoppers can also expect to receive Shop Small® giveaways like tote bags, buttons and balloons as well as special sales and promotions. This year, be sure to pick up your Passport to Prizes in participating businesses and complete 15/20 stops in Downtown Bristol to be entered in for drawings for some awesome prizes! No purchase necessary to get a stamp on your Passport, just have to make it in the door (it'll be hard to pass up the unique gifts once you're in those doors, though)!
American Express created the Neighborhood Champion program to help rally communities around Small Business Saturday and is working alongside numerous business organizations to support local Small Business Saturday celebrations throughout the country. Participating organizations include the Association of Chamber of Commerce Executives, the American Independent Business Alliance (AMIBA), the International Downtown Association, The Latino Coalition, the National Main Street Center, the U.S. Black Chambers, Inc. and the U.S. Chamber of Commerce.
“Small Business Saturday plays a key role in driving customer traffic and growing revenue for our Historic Downtown during the important holiday retail season,” says Maggie Bishop, Believe in Bristol Executive Director. “By shopping local and small, the majority of the money stays within the community. We’re also encouraging consumers to ‘dine small’ by grabbing a bite at a local eatery.”
Small business owners can learn more about taking part in Small Business Saturday and download free marketing materials on www.shopsmall.com. Consumers can also visit the site to find small businesses to shop at on Small Business Saturday. For questions or more information about Small Business Saturday, visit www.believeinbristol.org or call 423-573-2201.

Mark’s dazzling skill as musician and composer, and his love for Appalachian music, shine forth in this unique holiday spectacular. The performance features elegant interpretations of Christmas classics found on the celebrated album of the same name. The touring ensemble performs hits from the album, delivering stunning vocal harmonies and sophisticated instrumentals within classic Christmas music. In addition to Mark, the band features his son Forrest, daughter-in-law Kate, and wife Maggie. They infuse Americana in all that they play, and bring a warm blend of country, folk and classical to Christmas songs including Winter Wonderland, O Christmas Tree, Carol of the Bells, and We Wish You a Merry Christmas.
