Russian Ballet Theatre presents a new production of Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky’s timeless classic Swan Lake which tells the story of a princess turned into a swan by an evil sorcerer's curse. Choreographer Nadezhda Kalinina (Mariinsky Theatre, Teatro Lirico, Omsk State Music Theatre) lovingly retouches the oldest St. Petersburg version of the ballet Swan Lake premiered in 1877 at the Bolshoi Theatre in Moscow. With hand painted sets and hand sewn costumes, The Russian National Ballet brings the world's most beloved ballet to life. We are collaborating with Plus 1, an initiative that connects artists with causes. So, $1 per ticket sold goes to funding Bristol public school teachers’ needs through DonorsChoose.org.
Swan Lake is performed to recorded music.
