YWCA announces Over the Edge fundraising event

A lot of people have been to a race at NASCAR’s fastest half-mile, but no one can say they’ve rappelled down the Bristol tower – until now!

The YWCA has the incredible opportunity to achieve the goal of raising $100,000 for the at-risk kids and hard-working families served through YWCA programs and Speedway Children’s Charities grantees.

For a donation of just $85, you can set up your own crowdfunding page and invite your friends, family and co-workers to send YOU Over the Edge. The YWCA will provide tips and recommendations regularly to help you fundraise, so you won't be on your own.

You could to do something extraordinary that can make an enormous difference to a single mom trying to work her way through a degree or an insecure, lonely TechGYRL with a newly kindled interest in robotics. Perhaps you have a passion for the mission of eliminating racism and empowering women. You can honor your spitfire grandmother or trailblazing mom.

If you can’t go over yourself, consider making a contribution to one of Bristol's brave “Edgers” or invite someone you know to become one!

Is it safe? You bet — Over the Edge Global has an impeccable safety record, having produced more than 600 events and sent more than 45,000 individuals on the experience of a life time over the past 13 years.

It is definitely thrilling and your participation will make an impact on the lives changed through YWCA and SCC programs for years to come!
