Birthplace of Country Music Museum Needs Volunteers
The Birthplace of Country Music Museum needs volunteers to assist in the galleries on a daily basis, help in archives and collections, provide curatorial research and exhibit assistance, support special events, assist in The Museum Store, and act as docents for guided adult and school tours.
Training is provided and consists of two two-hour sessions that provide an introduction to the museum and the volunteer program. Volunteers also have many opportunities for continuing learning and training.
The first volunteer session is an overview that allows you to discern your area of interest at the museum and learn more about volunteering opportunities.This session takes place on Tuesday, Jan. 10 from 3-5 p.m.
The second follow-up session, focused on the details of volunteering at the museum, is scheduled for the following week,Tuesday, Jan. 17 from 3-5 p.m.
