Downtown Bristol Tennessee and Virginia is gearing up for Bristol’s Downtown Showcase!
Bristol's Downtown Showcase will be an amazing event featuring a signature dish from each of our downtown restaurants, a beer & wine tasting, live music & performances, local art and much, much more — all from our Historic Downtown District! A live & silent auction will be held during the course of the evening, and a cash bar will be available.
Bristol’s Downtown Showcase will be held on Thursday, February 17, 2011 from 6 – 8pm at the Historic Train Station. Tickets are $55 per person and $100 per couple, space is limited and interested attendees should RSVP to Believe in Bristol at 423-573-2200 or info@believeinbristol.org. Bristol’s Downtown Showcase is a fundraiser for Believe in Bristol; all proceeds will benefit the Main Street Program and downtown revitalization efforts. Welcome to Tuna, Texas! Greater Tuna at The Paramount

Appalachian Regional Theatrical Society will have you rolling in the aisles with laughter as they take you on a trip to Tuna, Texas, in their third production of the season, Greater Tuna. Greater Tuna is the hilarious comedy about Texas' third smallest town, where the Lion's Club is too liberal and Patsy Cline never dies. The eclectic band of citizens that make up this town are portrayed by only two performers, making this satire on life in rural America even more delightful as they depict all of the inhabitants of Tuna — men, women, children and animals.

Congratulations Bristol, Sessions 27 is opening soon! Sessions 27 is a place honoring the 1927 Bristol Sessions and all the great music that has followed — Specializing in new and used Vinyl and CDs including: • Rhythm & Roots Artists • Bluegrass • Country • Classic Rock • Jazz • Blues • Celtic • And much much more! Featuring a Pickin’ Stage for Local Musicians to jam and showcase talent and a sitting area to enjoy a beverage and the musical atmosphere. Also featuring a practice space for lessons and rehearsals. Sessions 27 hours will be Tuesday –Friday 11am – 7 pm Tuesday – Friday, 10 am- 6 PM Saturday, other hours for special events. Closed Sunday and Monday.

Storytelling by the Sunny Side Storytellers!

Pat Mussleman and her telling crew will be back out to share their wonderful talents with us. The Sunny Side Storytellers will perform on February 10th at 7pm-8:30pm. Admission is complementary from Sunny Side Up Café and from the Storytellers. Share our event with others and come on out for tales from near and far. Refreshments will be available on an ala carte basis.
