Hosted by Believe in Bristol, the holiday spirit comes alive with carriage rides, carrolers, and pictures with Santa. Downtown merchants will open their doors for Customer Appreciation night, the perfect time to search for unique gifts while also supporting Downtown businesses. Keep Bristol Beautiful Offers Recycling Opportunities November 15

“I Recycle” is the theme of Keep America Beautiful’s 2010 America Recycles Day (ARD), which takes place on November 15. According to Genette Yates, Director of Keep Bristol Beautiful, ARD is designed to educate, motivate and inspire individuals to recycle more, while encouraging their friends and families to do the same.

Veteran’s Day, November 11, 2010 @ 7:00 PM The historic Paramount and the Bristol Chamber of Commerce are proud to partner together to present humorist Jeanne Robertson in performance at the beautiful Paramount Center in Downtown Bristol. This evening offers a special opportunity to recognize and honor female Veterans for their service to our nation. The theatre opens at 6:00 PM for attendees to view sponsor displays, enjoy a holiday fashion preview, and listen to the music of the Paramount’s Mighty WurliTzer organ, prior to the Veteran’s Tribute and Jeanne Robertson’s monologue. The Friends of the Bristol Public Library will host Author Joe Tennis to review his new release, Haunts of Virginia Blue Ridge Highlands at the last public Friends meeting on November 11th, at 7:00p.m. in the J. Henry Kegley Meeting Room at the Bristol Public Library.

AMERICA'S FALLEN HEROES EXHIBIT

The Old Custom House and Gregory Management Company, LLC are honored to present to the area a special and solemn exhibit in memory of our nation’s fallen heroes from Operation Iraqi Freedom, Operation Enduring Freedom and Operation New Dawn. This exhibit will display all the United States military men and women who have given their lives since 9/11 in Iraq and Afghanistan.
