BYL accepting Community Service projects

Bristol Youth Leadership (BYL) is currently accepting applications for Community Service Projects for the 2010-2011 Program. Bristol Youth Leadership is a leadership training program for area high school sophomores and juniors. During the program, class participants are required to complete a community project to learn more about Bristol and contribute to the community. Each project team will consist of approximately seven students and will begin in October with completion in March 2010. Ideally, service projects will conclude with tangible results that can be presented to a panel. Keep in mind that participants are high school sophomores and juniors and will only have seven months to work on the project. In addition, due to the age of team members, you must be willing to meet with the team over the course of the project. In order for your organization, as well as the team members to receive benefits from the service learning project, it is essential to provide some guidance along the way.
