Full Moon Jam at the Downtown Center

May 16, 2013 | 12 am

Full Moon Jam is held every Tuesday and Thursday, May through September, from 7pm at the Downtown Center, 810 State Street. This year there will be over 30 bands at no charge — from country and Southern rock to bluegrass and nostalgic music!

Thursday, May 16 will feature the music of James Meadows & The Countrymile Drifters. James Meadows is a country singer/songwriter and Nashville Recording Artist who currently resides in Abingdon, VA. He originally grew up an hours drive north of Abingdon deep in the Appalachian Mountains near Grundy, VA. While in college he was involved with the ETSU Bluegrass, Old Time, and Country Music program where he played in many bands featuring top notch talent from all over the world. He also played in many different band combinations performing both bluegrass and country music around the East TN area. He decided to go solo and also began songwriting in early 2006. He has written numerous songs since that time. Two of his originals are featured on his new album.
