606 State Street Gallery presents featured artist Jane Eller and student artist Logan Hibbitts
November 1–30, 2012
606 State Street Gallery presents featured artist Jane Eller and student artist Logan Hibbits for the month of November.
Jane Eller's formal training took place at Virginia Intermont College where she received a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree in 1998. Her concentration was in Graphic Design, “computer art”. However, her basic training came from life. As a child she spent as much time as possible outside tromping around in nature. Picking up leaves, watching caterpillars, playing in the creek were her idea of fun, and growing older has not changed that sense of wonder. As she stomps around God’s earth enjoying all that surrounds her, she just wells up inside with joy and awe and wants to create and capture and share some of the joy and beauty of what she sees. While nothing can capture or reproduce the “real thing”, she says that she can have a lot of fun expressing her view or opinion of it with paint. She finds being an artist heightens her sense of observation and gratitude.
Born in Abingdon, Virginia, Logan is currently a senior at ETSU finishing up his degree in Digital Media with a concentration in visualization. Specializing in illustration and traditional art, Logan also dabbles in other art forms, such as photography and graphic design. He started drawing at an early age and continued through the years practicing for hours on end. He hopes to turn this hobby into a career. You can contact him at email@example.com.
