Full Moon Jams Concert Series

May 31, 2011 | 12 am

For the 15th year the City of Bristol will be hosting the twice weekly concert series “Full Moon Jam” at the Downtown Center in the heart of historic downtown. Tuesday, May 3, 2011 will be the kickoff of another jam-packed year of music. The music venue located at 810 State Street has been the location of jam sessions that sprung up years ago and grew into what it is today, a bi-weekly concert featuring bands from around the area. The bands play to crowds of 450-750 nightly.
Of course, there is no charge to attend. Bring a lawn chair or enjoy one of the 350 chairs provided on site. Refreshments are available in the concessions area for a nominal fee and clean well-stocked restrooms for patron convenience.
This year over 30 different bands will be gracing the stage playing music. If you lean toward Bluegrass music come out on Tuesday evenings, if your liking is more to the Country or Southern Rock side, come out on Thursday evenings. All concerts begin at 7:00 PM and continue until 9:00 or 9:30 PM.
You are asked not to park in the bank drive-through area that is adjacent to the venue and please do not to bring skateboards or bikes into the venue. Parking is available directly across the street from the venue on Shelby St. in the Municipal parking lot or on State Street in designated parking spaces.
Security is always present during concerts and city staff is available for any questions or suggestions you may have. Please check out the website at, www.bristoltn.org/downtowncenter3.cfm for a full lineup. Flyers listing upcoming bands will also be available at the concessions stand in the concert venue.
Come out and join your friends and neighbors in beautiful downtown Bristol and enjoy music under the stars.
Please watch for a special concert series coming up featuring tribute bands from the 80’s and 90’s.
