Bristol Public Library Hosts Summer Reading Program
June 21 – July 30, 2010
Every year the Bristol Public Library hosts the Summer Reading Program and we want to let you know that it’s starting soon.
The Children and Teen 2010 Summer Reading Program will start June 21st and lasts through July 30th. Registration for both begins, Tuesday, June 1st.
The schedule is as follows for the Children’s Department Summer Reading Program:
o Kick-off- Friday, June 18th at 11:00 a.m. with Makin Waves with Leonardo
o Storytimes on Mondays at 6:00 p.m., Thursdays at 2:00 p.m., and Fridays at 10:00 a.m.
o Regular storytimes on Mondays at 11:30 a.m. and Tuesdays at 10:00 a.m.
o Movies will be shown on the big screen on Tuesdays at 11:00 a.m.
o Films on the 16 mm projector will be shown on Thursdays at 3:30 p.m.
o And don’t forget, special events will be planned every week! So stop by the library to pick up your monthly calendar for exact dates and times
The Teen Summer Reading Program will be held Wednesdays from 6:00-8:00 p.m. and Fridays from 3:00-5:00 p.m. Programs will include Flip Flop decorating, Sharpie Pen tie-dye, Making rag jewelry, and prizes. There will be lots of surprises in store!
Our Avoca branch will also have Summer Reading Program events on Wednesdays at 11:00 a.m. for 0-5 year olds and Thursdays at 2:00 p.m. for 6-12 year olds. The program will include field trips to Hands On! Museum and parks a visit from a TVA employee and more.
