Paramount Chamber Players presents Spirituality and Idealism
TPCP presents music that imagines the beauty and majesty of nature juxtaposed with music that evokes the “colors of the spirit”. The Spring Sonata for violin and piano by Beethoven is a perfect foil for the concept of idealism and is well balanced by the Shepherd’s Lament, a trio by Carl Maria von Weber for flute, cello and piano. Juxtaposed against these two works about nature are the ancient sounds of Telemann’s Overture Suite in D Major for Solo Cello, Strings and Basso Continuo, a work of great joy and exuberance, a true representative of the concept of spirituality.
Featuring guest artists Bethany Dawson, cello, and Benjamin Dawson, violin.
Also appearing in this performance: George Figueroa, Kimberly Ray, Alice Keith Knowles, violin; Luis Casal, viola; Cherylonda Fitzgerald, cello; Catherine McGlasson, harpsichord; Rebecca Paluzzi, flute; and Craig W. Combs, piano.
