First Appalachian Robotics Mountain Mayhem Scrimmage
On November 21, from 10 am – 4pm, eight or more robotics teams from southwest Virginia and western North Carolina will move mountains together for an FTC Res-Q Challenge Scrimmage. Hosted by FTC Team 7090 First Appalachian Robotics (Bristol, VA) and Team 7300 the Ashebots (Asheville, NC), this event will be held in the main conference room of the Bristol Public Library.
The scrimmage will have a full competition field set up for the teams to try out their robot designs in a friendly, non-competitive situation. Scrimmages like these enable teams to troubleshoot and improve their robots before a competition and practice working both with and against other teams. Come see the next generation of engineers at work and robots in action!
This event is free and open to the public.

About First Appalachian Robotics
The First Appalachian Robotics team strives to inspire and provide opportunities for young people to be science and technology leaders by engaging students not just in building robots, but by building life skills such as leadership, communication, engineering, and design, and encouraging innovation and self-confidence. They also work hard to do outreach and educational opportunities in the community about their work, including high-altitude balloon launches and educational programs for both peers and younger students.
