AAME presents The First Generation of the English Bible
Michael Morgan will return to the Bristol Public Library for a special presentation on "The First Generation of the English Bible" on August 29 in the J. Henry Kegley Meeting Room.
Morgan, who currently serves as Seminary Musician at Columbia Theological Seminary, owns one of the most comprehensive private collections of English Bibles in the country at more than 4,800 volumes. His hour-long presentation will showcase a number of these rare books, including a 1611 King James Bible, the Geneva Bible, and the Bishops' Bible, and discuss the English Bible as it has changed throughout history.
Attendees will have the opportunity to view several of these precious volumes beginning at 2:00 p.m. when the meeting room doors open. Morgan's presentation will begin at 7:00 p.m.
