Summer Reading Programs begin soon at the Bristol Public Library

The Children and Teen 2012 Summer Reading Programs are six-week programs and will begin June 11th. Registration for the Children’s program begins, Friday, June 1st. Teens will register on Sunday, June 3rd from 3-5p.m. at the Open House.

The schedule is as follows for the Children’s Summer Reading Program:
o Story/Craft time on Mondays at 6p.m., Thursdays at 2p.m., and Fridays at 10 a.m.
o Regular story times on Mondays at 11:30 a.m. and Tuesdays at 10a.m.
o Movies will be shown on the big screen on Tuesdays at 11a.m.
o Films on the 16 mm projector will be shown on Thursdays at 3:30 p.m.
o 8-10 Year Old Book Club will be Fridays from 11:30am-1p.m.
o And don’t forget, special events will be planned every week! So stop by the library to pick up your monthly calendar for exact dates and times
The Teen Summer Reading Program will begin with the Open House on Sunday, June 3rd from 3-5 p.m. Tweens (11-14 yr. olds) will meet Mondays and Wednesdays from 1-3p.m. Teens (14-18 yr. olds) will meet Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3-5 p.m. Young Adults (18-22 yr. olds) will meet Wednesdays and Fridays from 3-5 p.m. The Avoca Branch Teens will meet Thursdays from 12-2p.m. and Fridays from 12:30-2:30p.m. Programs will include a visit to Kil’n Time, Battle of the Books, pizza and books, books, books!

Our Avoca branch will also have Summer Reading Program from June 13th- July 18th with events on Wednesdays at 11a.m. for 0-6 year olds and Thursdays at 10:30a.m. for 7-14 year olds. Registration began Tuesday, May 1st.

These programs are all free of charge, but registration is required. So stop by your Bristol Public Library this summer to join in all of the fun!
