Bristol Rhythm & Roots Reunion Takes Home the Bronze!

March 02, 2011

Bristol Rhythm & Roots Reunion is proud to announce that we have taken home the Bronze Kaleidoscope Award for Best Festival from the Southeast Festivals & Events Association. The best and brightest were spotlighted during a ceremony hosted at the Stone Mountain Inn in Stone Mountain, Georgia last week. Top festivals and events throughout the southeast were recognized for their outstanding contribution to the events industry.

"The quality of submissions continues to go up each year making it more difficult to choose only one winner," mentioned Carolyn Morris, Executive Director for SFEA. "It is a shame that only one can 'win gold'. It is a wonderful opportunity to showcase your event or community and award those who have worked hard creating the perfect event or festival. The recognition a festival gets for winning is priceless."

The awards acknowledge special achievement in the states of Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Mississippi,

North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee and Virginia. The state of Tennessee reigned in the category of Best Festival with a budget of over $75,000 with Bristol Rhythm & Roots Reunion securing the Bronze Kaleidoscope Award. Secret City Festival in Oak Ridge took home the Silver while the Rivers & Spires Festival in Clarksville earned Gold. In the category of Best Festival with a budget under $75,000, the state of Georgia was tops as The Dacatur Craft & Beer Festival received Bronze honors. Suwanee Day placed Silver and the Gold went to Wild Georgia Shrimp & Grits Festival of Jekyll Island.

"Though we have been a member of the Southeast Festival & Events Association for several years, this is the first year Bristol Rhythm & Roots Reunion has entered the Kaleidoscope Awards," says BRRR Executive Director Leah Ross. "The competition is extremely tough because there are so many quality events out there. We are grateful for the honor and proud to have been recognized by the Southeast Festival & Events Association."
