The FINAL Border Bash summer concert will be held on Friday, August 16, 2013, rocking State Street with the music of Blair Crimmins & the Hookers and St. Paul & The Broken Bones. Border Bash’s finale will be a perfect way to celebrate our amazing summer of music in Historic Downtown Bristol! Children's activities will begin at 6:00 p.m. Live music will start at 7:00 p.m. with Blair Crimmins & The Hookers and finishing the evening with St. Paul & The Broken Bones around 8:30 p.m. Admission is free.

Blair Crimmins & The Hookers
The musical style of Blair Crimmins & The Hookers is an unusual product in today’s music scene. Their album is one of the few that doesn’t quite fit into any particular genre. The very first note immediately sends the listener back to a 1920’s Vaudeville theatre, where Blair Crimmins intoxicates an audience with his smooth voice and The Hookers support him with flawlessly appropriate musical accompaniment. Crimmins accompanies himself on a wide range of instruments: piano, guitar, tenor banjo, ukulele, accordion, organ, vibraphone, trash, and percussion. The Hookers are a band of ten musicians who supply Crimmins with upright bass, tuba, soprano saxophone, clarinet, and lap steel- an unlikely combination of instruments, but a harmoniously solid one nonetheless. Together this coterie transports their listeners back into a world in which men still wear bowties and golf caps while performing, flapper girls sparkle while dancing to counter the sinister tones of the music, and the audience is always willing to get up and dance (Performer Magazine).

St. Paul & The Broken Bones
Paul is a young man who began wailing straight out of the womb, and most folks would agree that he hasn’t stopped since. Paul was raised singing in church in his southern hometown, but had a love for Rock music and dirty jokes. This led him to re-create the sounds he’s grown up singing and seeking, and Paul recruited a rag-tag band of loveable weirdos, visionaries, and hacks to help him harness the power he possessed. Under the aptly named St. Paul and the Broken Bones, this motley crew roams the countryside looking to get cabooses shakin’, faces meltin’, and brothers and sisters everywhere testifyin’.
