606 State Street Art Gallery to open TODAY!

Tuesday, March 16, 2010, when the all-new 606 STATE STREET ART GALLERY opens its doors for business, visitors and art lovers will be able to view more than 200 different works of art occupying more than 25 spaces.

This gallery is a newly formed art cooperative with members from the Tri Cities area as well as other parts of the United States. The Co-op is dedicated to promoting the arts in Bristol, Kingsport and Johnson City and all the surrounding area. The Art Gallery will be open to the public on a full time basis every Tuesday through Saturday from 10 AM to 5 PM and there is no admission charge.

The art exhibition is in every type of media, including oil, watercolor, pastel, clay, mosaics, stained glass, basket weaving and jewelry and is created and provided by members of an art cooperative organized for the primary purpose of exhibiting and selling their art. A full range of media, sizes and prices of artwork will be available.

The GALLERY is situated in a newly renovated building located at 606 State Street in Bristol, Tennessee and member artists are from the entire Tri Cities area including Abingdon, Bristol, Kingsport and Johnson City and the artwork includes paintings of animals, landscapes, portraits, flowers, people, sculpture, glass jewelry, mosaics, stained glass and basket weaving by talented artists who live in an area that is blessed by all the artistic “jewels of the Tri Cities”.

Wherever there is a home or business, there is a place for art and with the wide and varied selection of art in this gallery, there’s something for everyone, everywhere!
