Tickets will be on sale until June 30.

The event kicks off for a special opening night on May 30, 2013, from 6 to 9pm, and one venue – KP Catering on Bank Street – will only be open on that night to share their dessert option with you. But remember for all the other venues, you can redeem your ticket throughout the summer until September 30.

This is a great way to promote our local businesses, have fun-filled nights in Historic Downtown Bristol, and find your new favorite beer or dessert! So get your tickets before June 30, and come out and enjoy the Sugar-Coated Pub Crawl!

Mumford & Sons Bristol Stopover Wins Awards!

May 22, 2013
Last August Mumford & Sons made a Bristol Stopover on their Gentlemen of the Road tour, playing to a sold-out audience of 18,000 fans in Historic Downtown — the Birthplace of Country Music®. The GOTR 2012 tour earned the band unlimited commercial success, a couple Grammys and international acclaim. When Mumford embarked on their tour of small-town America, they likely never considered what those Stopovers meant to the communities they were visiting.

According to a study conducted by the Virginia Tourism Corporation, the economic impact of the Mumford & Sons Gentlemen of the Road Bristol Stopover generated more than $5 million in revenue for Bristol and the surrounding area — further proving the important role tourism plays to small communities. If the numbers aren't convincing enough, ask the industry. Mumford's GOTR Bristol Stopover is winning awards with them, too.

Earlier this May the Bristol Convention & Visitors Bureau, Birthplace of Country Music®, Bristol Rhythm & Roots Reunion, and Believe in Bristol took home the Pinnacle Award for Special Events in the Hospitality Organizations Classification from the Northeast Tennessee Tourism Association for the role they played in fascilitating Mumford's stay. Last week the Virginia Convention & Visitor's Bureau awarded the organizations with two Virgo Awards for Destination Event of the Year and Best in Show.
