The one device that people have with them everywhere can be an advantage in reaching new customers. 84% of mobile phone users use their devices to look for information about local businesses and organizations. Today’s consumers use mobile search in almost every area of their lives. Many of them use their mobile phones to find information on prices as well, even if they plan to make the actual purchase offline at your store. The challenge for area small businesses is to make sure that their online marketing efforts are “mobile friendly”. Come join us for this course and discover the different means of connecting with a prospect through a smart phone, learn how to integrate mobile marketing into your current web site and much more.

Student Art Display Brightens Downtown Bristol

December 05, 2012
The Arts and Entertainment District is hosting the 2nd Annual Student Art Display in Downtown Bristol. In an effort to “Cultivate Bristol’s Creativity,” we invited the local schools to help us beautify our community by providing art to decorate the front windows of the former Hayes Furniture Building on State Street. Each school that participates will have their art hung in the space for a month. Students from Holston View Elementary contributed their colorful art in October, while a variety of mediums and styles were on display from the students of Vance Middle School in November. A new exhibition of lively art has just gone up from the K through 6th grade students at Fairmount Elementary School; their art will be on view until January 2, 2013. Upcoming months will see displays from students at Stonewall Jackson Elementary (January), St. Anne’s Catholic School (February), and the Homeschool Network (March). So next time you are in Downtown Bristol, swing by the former Hayes Furniture Building and check out the student art on display. It’s a great way to celebrate the creativity of the children in our community!
