Viking Hall presents TIM WILSON at the Paramount

Tim Wilson
October 26, 2012
Although he loves performing stand-up and creating comedy songs, Wilson remains very active as a serious songwriter and producer. One look at the credits of his albums clearly shows that he’s earned the respect of many of the greats that have influenced his music, including members of The Muscle Shoals Rhythm Section, The Band, Wet Willy, and The Atlanta Rhythm Section who regularly appear on his projects. It’s easy to see that Wilson is as serious about his music as he is hilarious in his comedy. So, lookout backward hat man, Tim Wilson is coming back to town with his newest offering on Capitol Records, The Real Twang Thang! Wilson will make an appearance at Bristol’s Paramount Theatre on Friday, October 26, 2012 @ 8:00 PM. Wilson is always a crowd pleaser with his timely humor and off-beat songs. “Tim’s act never gets old, because he sees humor in everything. Because of that uncanny ability his show always is new and relevant to what is going on in the world today. He keeps his audience in stitches,” said Darlene Cole, Venue Manager for the City of Bristol. The city regularly produces programming in the arts center as explained by Cole, “Sometimes agencies call us wanting to do shows in Bristol, but Viking Hall is just too large, so it only makes sense for us to utilize the Paramount. As everyone knows it is our crown jewel in the downtown area, it’s so beautiful and the folks there are so easy to work with and have talented skill sets. We never hesitate to bring a show to the venue.” Show starts at 8pm; tickets $28 preferred, $26 individual. Please call (423) 274-8920 or visit 518 State Street, Bristol, TN for more information.
