Art D'Vine, a Gallery Hop on State Street Continues!

July 06, 2011
On the heels of their wildly successful first gallery hop and wine tasting event, the five art galleries in downtown Bristol are hosting a second Art D’Vine, a gallery hop on State Street. On July 8 from 7pm to 9 pm, the community is invited to stroll through Downtown Bristol stopping at Kil’n Time, Benjamin Walls Gallery, 606 State Street Gallery, One of a Kind Gallery and blowfish emporium. Each of the galleries will be featuring a different wine varietal which participants are invited to sample.

“We had great attendance at our 1st gallery hop. Not only did it introduce our local community to the art we are offering in downtown, but it also boosted foot traffic before and after the event and overall sales! ,” shares Benjamin Walls, owner of Benjamin Walls Gallery. “Believe in Bristol has done a great job promoting this event and bringing our community together to recognize the wonderful variety of art and artisans of downtown Bristol.”

The first Art D’Vine event was held in conjunction with the State of the Arts weekend celebration on June 10. As the first event was met with great enthusiasm, it was decided by the galleries to continue offering Art D’Vine on the second Friday of each summer month as a way of following through on the momentum built by State of the Arts.

“We have so many talented local artists in our community, hosting Art D’Vine seemed like a natural way of promoting their talents and exposing the community to the wealth of artistic talent here in Bristol,” said Katherine Bowman, Associate Director of Believe in Bristol.

There will be some special events scheduled to take place during Art D’Vine. Benjamin Walls will be showcasing some of his new pieces; “Under the Table” will be performing live music at One of a Kind Gallery; and 606 State Street Gallery will be hosting an artist Meet and Greet.

This event is free to the public. For more information, please contact Believe in Bristol at 423-573-2200 or visitour website at www.believeinbristol.org.
