Bristol Public Library Strategic Planning Public Forums

The Bristol Public Library Board of Directors is in the process of updating its strategic plan. Last year marked ten years since the opening of the new library, and since that time, BPL has launched a number of new and expanded programs, including the region’s largest teen library and the new Jones Creative Lab.

Despite its many successes, the library is not content to rest on its laurels. Therefore, the BPL board is inviting citizens and leaders from across the community to participate in "The Next Chapter" discussion forum. The purpose of this forum is to provide guidance to BPL board and staff as the library updates its strategic plan. They would especially like to hear from you and get your thoughts on what programs and services the library should prioritize in the years ahead to best benefit the community and its citizens.

Join BPL for one of the upcoming forums scheduled for Wednesday, February 8th; Thursday, February 9th; and Saturday, February 18th. Participants may join any one of the forums and tours offered each day at 9:00 a.m., 11:00 a.m., or 1:00 p.m.

The forums will not only be an opportunity for you to offer your thoughts and suggestions on the materials, programs, and services that our library should offer, but it will also be a time for you to enjoy a full tour of the library with our staff. The tours will allow you to learn about the materials, programs, and services currently being offered to our community. The tour and forum are expected to take a combined period of four hours, including breaks. Light refreshments will be available.
