Mount Rogers Appalachian Trail Club
On July 18, the Mount Rogers Appalachian Trail Club will join BPL's Summer Celebration with a special presentation on the Appalachian Trail at 6:00 p.m. in the J. Henry Kegley Meeting Room. Anne Maio and Judith Foster, who has hiked the trail, will be speaking about their experiences with the Appalachian Trail and discussing conservation efforts.
The Mount Rogers Appalachian Trail Club, based in Damascus, Virginia, is a member of the Appalachian Trail Conservancy. Formed on February 29, 1960, the club helps maintain and protect 59.4 miles of the Appalachian Trail in the Jefferson National Forest, Mount Rogers National Recreation Area, Grayson Highlands State Park, and other trail areas.
