Who Hates Shakespeare? I hate Shakespeare!

May 10, 2011

What do talking cows, zombies and Hamlet have in common? They all make an appearance in Theatre Bristol’s production of I Hate Shakespeare. I Hate Shakespeare is a side-splitting romp through a myriad of familiar Shakespeare characters including Richard the III, Romeo & Juliet, Othello and Mac-buh (you know, the Scottish play – it’s bad luck to say it out loud!). I Hate Shakespeare! is a hilarious and fast-paced introduction to Shakespeare — with a modern twist. I Hate Shakespeare public performances are May 6, 7, 13 & 14 at 8 pm and May 15 at 2:30 pm in Theatre Bristol’s ARTspace, limited seating, reservations suggested. Reservations can be made by ordering online at Theatre Bristol’s website www.theatrebristo.org.

I Hate Shakespeare is co-directed by Heather Brooke Eisenhart and Sharon Flake and stage managed by Ildiko Baugus. The cast is made up of newcomers and familiar faces alike. Each cast member plays multiple characters throughout the course of the fast-paced show. Familiar faces include: Jack Baugus, Victoria Burnette, Annie Carr, Sean Grande, Sunshine Hughes and Will Oliver. New faces include: Samantha Baugus, Jared Colley, Jake Jones, Sam O’Neill, Thomas O’Neill and Jordan Valdov.
