VirginiaNavigator program to be held at the Bristol Public Library

The Bristol Public Library, BVU-Optinet, and VirginiaNavigator will present a training class for the public titled, A New Year – A New Look – A New You, on February 8th from 10:00a.m. to noon in the J. Henry Kegley Meeting Room at the Bristol Public Library.

Allen Slagle, Community Specialist for VirginiaNavigator, will go live on the internet and demonstrate new resources available on the VirginiaNavigator website at www.virginianavigator.org. Slagle will also discuss some tools to help with nutrition, physical activities, and how to quit smoking.

There is a section on domestic violence and resources to contact if interested, as well as a feature on how to find help in the Bristol area for transportation, legal and financial, and care giving.

There is no charge for this program and the public is invited to attend and meet members of the library staff and BVU-Optinet community partners.

For more information, you may contact Doris Stickley at the Bristol Public Library at (276) 821-6147 or Allen Slagle at (276) 466-5146.
