Today's the day — the deadline for your application for the Downtown Bristol Entrepreneur's Prize!

August 26, 2013

Today's the day — the deadline for your application for the Downtown Bristol Entrepreneur's Prize, a $5,000 award with additional benefits donated by local community stakeholders! One-page proposals for a new downtown business from prospective entrepreneurs are due by 5pm on Thursday, August 29, 2013. A judging panel will narrow these down to the top five proposals, and the top five will then be asked to prepare and present a formal business plan in October. A winner will then be chosen from these five entrepreneurs. The Downtown Bristol Entrepreneur's Prize will include $5,000 to be used towards rent on a downtown space, a 1/4 page ad in the Bristol Herald Courier, Believe in Bristol promotion, time with a financial planner, bank discounts, time with a CPA, time with a digital strategist, a free ribbon cutting with enrollment in the Bristol Chamber of Commerce membership, and 3 months of free internet. Prizes beyond $5,000 are subject to change.

Last year, Believe in Bristol opened an accessible IdeaSpace — their main office and resource for downtown business owners and Believe in Bristol partners. Believe in Bristol continues to focus on strengthening businesses in the Historic Downtown District, and this prize is the latest effort in that mission.
