The popular musical captivates audiences with its tongue in cheek humor, pop rock score, and memorable characters. In this magical fable, a band of wandering players tells the story of Pippin, the son of Charlemagne. Pippin longs to discover the secret of true happiness and fulfillment. He seeks for it on the battlefield, in the temptations of the flesh, in political plots for power, but in the end will he find it in the simple pleasures of home and family? Stephen Schwartz’s (Godspell, Wicked) energetic score is filled with one show stopping number after the next. King College’s production is directed by Elizabeth Lee Dollar, designed by Christopher R. Slaughter, and musical direction is by Amy L. Oblinger.
