Keep Bristol Beautiful Offers Recycling Opportunities November 15

November 10, 2010

“I Recycle” is the theme of Keep America Beautiful’s 2010 America Recycles Day (ARD), which takes place on November 15. According to Genette Yates, Director of Keep Bristol Beautiful, ARD is designed to educate, motivate and inspire individuals to recycle more, while encouraging their friends and families to do the same.

“People around the country are uniting around the practice of recycling,” said Yates. “Making a commitment to recycling is a first simple step,” she added.

To help recyclers move toward that first step, Keep Bristol Beautiful will collect recyclables and provide recycling information on November 15. Bins will be set up in the parking lot of the Bristol Chamber of Commerce from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. Items to be collected include: glass, paper, cardboard, plastics (#1 & #2), metal (including aluminum), cell phones, ink & laser printer cartridges, and clothing (donated to Salvation Army or Girls Inc.).

The public is also invited to join the millions of Americans who have pledged to increase their recycling at home and at work by announcing their commitment to the environment at www.americarecyclesday.org.
