John Carter Cash Book Signing!

November 14, 2011

The Birthplace of Country Music Alliance and Bristol Rhythm & Roots Reunion will host a book signing by John Carter Cash at their “Bristol Store” during Believe in Bristol’s Downtown Christmas Open House on Monday, November 21st.

The grandchild of Maybelle Carter and only son to Johnny & June Carter Cash will be signing copies of his memoir, “House of Cash: The Legacies of My Father, Johnny Cash”, just outside BCMA/BRRR headquarters at 416 State Street between 5pm and 7pm. The Downtown Christmas Open House will be open from 5pm to 8:30pm.

“We look forward to welcoming John Carter Cash back to Bristol,” says BCMA Board President John Rainero. “Cash was a great presence during the Bristol Sessions Box Set Release Weekend in March and truly honors our region’s music culture.”

Tuesday, November 22nd, the multi-Grammy Award winning producer will present a copy of his book to the
Archives of Appalachia at East Tennessee State University in Johnson City, TN. Another book signing will be held on the ETSU campus inside the Bud Frank Theatre at 7pm that evening.

Tents will be set up outside the BCMA/BRRR offices at 416 State Street for The Bristol Store at Downtown Christmas Open House. It will be the destination for shoppers to purchase signed copies of John Carter Cash’s “House of Cash”, and take advantage of early bird Weekend Passes to Bristol Rhythm & Roots Reunion 2012 for only $35. The Birthplace of Country Music Alliance, Heartwood, Speedway in Lights and Pick Bristol will also have booths at the Open House. Each organization will offer unique, locally and regionally branded gift items for shoppers looking to support our region this holiday season.

It wouldn't be a BCMA/BRRR event without live music! Western North Carolina's
Blind Boy Chocolate & The Milk Sheiks will also be part of the evening’s festivities.
Free cookies and warm cider will be served while supplies last!

Merchants all along State Street will open their doors for Customer Appreciation during Believe in Bristol’s Downtown Christmas Open House. Horse and carriage rides, and photos with Santa make the evening a special holiday tradition to be shared with family and friends. The event is free of charge.
