Friends of the Bristol Public Library Annual Meeting

January 16, 2012

The Friends of the Bristol Public Library (BPL) will be hosting their Annual Meeting on Monday, January 23rd at 7pm in the J. Henry Kegley Meeting Room at the Bristol Public Library. The Friends of the BPL invite members, library volunteers, and the public to attend this meeting. Local author, history enthusiast, and Friend of the BPL, Joyce Kistner, will present her book Tracking Bristol Virginia-Tennessee History as a part of the meeting.

The book is based on the fourth grade local history program presented to the Bristol Virginia-Tennessee Public Schools by the Bristol Historical Association. It describes the “Meet Camp” area where Bristol, Tennessee and Goodson, Virginia were located and named in 1856. Along with the text are 42 historical pictures of Bristol and original artwork by the author. A few games are included for some added entertainment.

This event will be held in the J. Henry Kegley Meeting Room at the Bristol Public Library. This meeting and presentation are open to the public.
