Executive Chef Richard Erskine, President and Owner of the Southeast Culinary and Hospitality College in Bristol, VA, will be presenting his first cookbook, Taste of the South, along with a demonstration of his cooking and techniques at the Bristol Public Library on August 9th at 6p.m.

Erskine has thirty years of experience in the food industry and fourteen years of teaching experience with degrees in Culinary Arts. He is a Certified Executive Chef and a Certified Personal Chef.

After being a long time volunteer for the March of Dimes, Erskine founded the Community Hospitality Outreach Program (CHOP), a non-profit organization to help fight childhood obesity and nutrition problems facing our community and around the world. The organization also works with local farmers to provide fresh produce to those in need in our community.

Taste of the South is Executive Chef Richard Erskine’s first cookbook, but there are hopes for many more in the future.
This event will be held in the J. Henry Kegley Meeting Room at the Bristol Public Library. Executive Chef Richard Erskine’s presentation is free and open to the public.
