Bristol Named Best Music Town!

November 18, 2013

Voters designated Bristol "Best Music Town" in an online poll by Blue Ridge Outdoors Magazine. The result is part of the periodical's Best Mountain Towns readers poll gone viral over summer. Around 34,000 people took part in the voting, with Floyd and Charlottesville, Virginia listed in second and third place for music. Knoxville and Nashville were also listed in the poll. "I think it says more than just the quality of music that comes out of this town. It's more about the quality of people because it does take a town to support an industry," BRO travel editor Jess Daddio told the Bristol Herald Courier. "Music is really important and there is a rich history of music in this town. It's because of the people that have supported that industry that Bristol has really taken off. Bristol is a great music town." Check out Blue Ridge Outdoors online to read the article!
