Junior League Invites Local Talent to Join Follies Show

Calling all singers, dancers, movers and shakers! The Junior League of Bristol would like to invite local talent to join the 2015 Follies cast for “Shaken with a Splash of Sublime.” Directed by New York producer, Jamie Donegan, this year’s show is sure to be two back-to-back evenings of entertaining music coupled with colorful choreography and more.

The women of the Junior League are hosting a “Meet the Director Party” on Monday, October 12, 2015 once Donegan arrives in town. The gathering is to take place at Quaker Steak & Lube in Bristol, VA from 6 to 8 pm.

The Junior League of Bristol is eager to recruit local talent to be showcased in this year’s Follies show on November 6 and 7, 2015 at the Paramount Center of the Arts. “Follies is a such an exciting event,” says Junior League Bristol President, Dawn Roller, “and it is truly a work of the community for the community.”

All proceeds from the shows benefit the construction of Bristol’s first Splash Pad in Steele Creek Park. In conjunction with Bristol Tennessee Parks and Recreation Department, the Junior League of Bristol Tennessee and Virginia has been hard at work raising funds to pave the way for the Splash Pad which is sure to become a favorite summer spot for children of all ages.

The Junior League of Bristol is an organization of women committed to promoting volunteerism, developing the potential of women and improving communities through the effective action and leadership of trained volunteers. Its purpose is exclusively educational and charitable.
