4 Beginning Drawing Lessons: Saturdays in November (Bristol, TN)

Students will learn the basics of drawing with pencils in this 4-lesson class taught by Virginia Hiss, an art educator with a B.F.A from Carnegie Mellon University and a Master's in Art Education from the University of Pittsburgh.These four lessons will cover: 1) basic 3-D shapes, shading and shadowing, 2) curvilinear perspective and folds, 3) 1-point and 2-point linear perspective, 4) combination of techniques to create a house portrait with landscaping.


Lessons will be held on the first four Saturdays in November 2014 (1, 8, 15, 22) from10 a.m. – 12 noon. The classes will take place at A Work of Art Gallery and Gifts at 600 State Street, Bristol, TN.
Students are asked to bring the following materials to each lesson: drawing pad (11 x 14 inches), #2 pencil, Pencil sharpener, Eraser, and a 12-inch ruler.
